Laura Taborda: Running Beyond Limits
Portugal’s Steeplechase Champion on Discipline, Recovery, and the Road to the Olympics
This week on Podcast Portugal, we sit down with Laura Taborda — Portuguese national steeplechase champion and professional Adidas athlete — to explore the rhythm of an athlete’s life both on and off the track.
Laura opens up about training schedules, recovering from injury, and the balance between fragility and strength that defines an elite runner’s mindset. We discuss the power of consistency, discipline, and motivation, and how brands like Adidas play a vital role in helping athletes chase their dreams.
From running culture and the rise of running club dating, to finding community and social connection through sport, Laura shares a refreshingly honest perspective on staying active and grounded. With the European Cross Country Championships coming to Lagoa, Algarve in December 2025 and the Olympic qualification requiring a new Portuguese national record, the road ahead is as inspiring as it is demanding.

satvillage.com What if home wasn’t just a house, but a way of life?
That’s the idea behind satvillage.com — a conscious community on Portugal’s stunning west coast. Here, you own your own private home with full facilities, but connect on your own terms in a shared community centre, complete with yoga space, living areas, and more.
Sat Village sits beside a natural forest reserve, just five minutes from the beach, ten minutes from Ericeira, and only 35 minutes from Lisbon Airport. It’s the perfect balance: close to nature, close to surf, and close to all the amenities you need — including a yoga centre next door offering daily practice and meals.
The founders began simply searching for a home where they could raise their children — somewhere near the ocean, surrounded by likeminded souls, grounded in health, growth, and harmony with nature and the local community. That vision has grown into Sat Village.
